- Based on different types of technology, such as Switch, IP, Broadband and Transport
- Location: Québec and Ontario, depending on the technology

This team is part of the National Network Management district that is mainly accountable for service assurance and network reliability (Québec, Ontario and Bell West).
The candidate for this job will be managing a team of technicians accountable for monitoring the network, based on the technology. This team proactively monitors the switch network to prevent any major failures on a 24/7 basis. top Key objectives
The Surveillance Manager is accountable for:
- Managing a team of approximately 20-35 technicians working on 24/7 shifts
- Supporting, advising and guiding members of the team in the accomplishment of their regular tasks
- Participating in major escalations to ensure that all equipment and services are restored in an effective, efficient and timely manner
- Assuring and maintaining a high level of expertise within the team

Qualifications
Critical Qualifications/Competencies
- A strong knowledge of switching network elements (DMS 100/200/550 and remotes)
- General knowledge of central office equipment
- Knowledge of C.O. maintenance processes
- General knowledge of Bell's network operations processes
- Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal guidance
- Excellent oral and written skills
- The ability to work effectively in an environment of change and ambiguity
- The ability to be a team player who is at ease sharing information and working in a team setting
- The ability to effectively handle emergencies and crises
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
- Team management experience in a unionized environment
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Fluency in both languages (English and French) is an asset for this position
