Numerous roles exist, including Support, Project Management, Relationship Management and Process Primes.

Top responsibilities

The Process and Technology district of NP&P supports their business partners within the department. This team provides process and technology expertise, and is a key player in new technology Introduction, high profile projects (such as Galileo) and information management. As well, this district manages NP&P's external relations with vendors such as Expertech, government agencies and urban property management companies.

Key objectives

Current key objectives of this district include the Introduction of strategic network initiatives, such as Galileo and other new network technology Introductions. The Process and Technology team will also continue to simplify processes and Introductionduce and maintain standards across the department it supports.

Main challenges

The Process and Technology team faces a challenge in managing Bell's shift toward a next generation network and in continuing to evolve as an organization that meets the needs of a simplified NP&P.

Interaction

In addition to having a close relationship with the rest of the department, Process and Technology interfaces with many parts of the company, including Operations, Marketing, Purchasing, IS/IT and Human Resources.

Qualifications

Management

Management positions in NP&P are wide-ranging in function and the qualifications required. We require fast thinkers who have a solid understanding of the business and can learn about network technology and processes. Candidates who have strong leadership skills will be key to our success. Post-secondary degrees or diplomas in Business, Engineering or Project Management are strong assets, but other backgrounds may be considered as well, depending on experience.

Non-management

Non-management positions (represented by the CTEA) in NP&P are also wide-ranging in function. Generally, we require employees who are quick learners with strong PC skills, who are willing to take initiative and are comfortable with numbers and analysis.
