Something big is happening in RETAIL.

We are eager to share our excitement about how the BDI Retail Vision Team is working diligently to "REVOLUTIONIZE RETAIL".

The Retail Vision mandate is that we FIRST must "Make it Simple" for the Sales Representative in order to "Make it Simple" for the Customer. This mandate is at the heart of the Retail Vision Roadmap; a roadmap that blends process, technology and policies aimed at setting the industry standard with respect to service, simplicity and sales efficiency. Our strategy is simple: to deliver an integrated system that changes the way we interact and service our customers within a store environment.

Customers' needs are rapidly changing. In order to stay ahead of the competitive landscape, we have to respond. Our in-store systems and processes must change to efficiently meet our customers' integrated demands. Retail Vision is well on its way to achieving this goal of simplifying the sales experience by greatly reducing the in-store processing time and improving the overall customer experience.

Launched in November of 2003, Iris is the new "one-stop service" portal for our branded retail channels within Ontario and Quebec. This customer-focused and retail-specific portal links, and will eventually integrate, all other front office applications into a single effective sales tool.

Retail Vision is working towards providing high-quality service that facilitates positive and significant results. Iris is currently only available in branded stores within Ontario and Quebec, and we are looking forward to expanding the "one-stop service" portal to our western stores in the near future. The Iris system is so innovative and versatile that expanding the retail portal to our indirect partners will be the key to Bell's ongoing success and leadership within the telecommunications industry.
