Procurement Careers: Job Family Introduction

The procurement job family is based on negotiation, communication and relationship building skills. The procurement jobs perform a variety of procurement duties related to the negotiation and execution of agreements for the supply of goods and services. The positions require the adherence to established processes. Historical data is available to deal with regular demand stream and supplier relationships.

Most of the Procurement jobs are at the management level and often exist across the organization.

Mission

The Procurement Department's mission is to create value through its strategic role of providing best-in-class procurement solutions by:

• The negotiation of agreements and other legal documents between Bell and its supplier community, setting the terms and conditions for the provision of products and services, while optimizing Bell's opportunities for improvements to EBITDA through reduced costs.
• Overall management of key outsourcing and sourcing arrangements to maximize value aligning with strategic evolution of the supply chain and EBITDA objectives.
• Establishing strong and effective relationships with the internal client and vendors.

All procurement activities are performed in support of Bell's corporate strategies, business objectives and customer value proposition.

Supply Chain Careers: Job Family Introduction

The supply chain job families , which provide purchasing, inventory management and systems services to the entire BCE family of companies , are divided into two main groups:

1. Supply chain operations, which monitors the assets and inventory of the company to ensure optimal utilization;
2. Supply chain systems, which focuses on leveraging the large investment supply chain
   and Bell are made on the SAP R/3 product, the SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP EBP, Datamirror, etc.

Most of the Supply Chain jobs are at the management level and are primarily located in Toronto, London and Montreal.

Our goal is to establish a best-in-class supply chain, which will deliver the best balance of customer service and cost efficiency, and made possible by a highly experienced group of knowledgeable people.

The supply chain systems organization is primarily responsible for various supply chain systems project initiatives, as well as development work with commercially based software products. Our mission is to implement creative solutions through our strategic role, and support the recently deployed solutions to help us to provide best-in-class supply chain systems.
