Top responsibilities:
- Identifies, evaluates and implements operational changes to improve information and processing systems. Reviews and makes recommendations on major projects, systems enhancements, testing tools and practices.
- Works closely with end-users to identify and establish requirements for custom applications, package software in a project mode, or modifications required to solve a problem.
- Recommends changes in applications and systems and provides input on whether to patch or upgrade existing applications.
- Evaluates recommended solutions supplied by the vendors and gives acceptance or recommends modifications to the solution.
- Identifies ways to better deploy existing technology or to modify processes to more effectively leverage the technology.
- Determines a deployment strategy and release strategy in consultation with other team members.
