 Employee Referral Program

The Employee Referral Program allows employees to refer a qualified candidate who is not a current Bell employee for certain job openings at Bell. If the candidate is hired, and remains with Bell at least 90 days, the employee receives a monetary reward. This program only applies to jobs posted in this section of the site.

Who can refer a candidate?

The Employee Referral Program is open to employees across Bell Canada, including Quebec, Ontario, Nexxia, Actimedia, Mobility, and Bell Distribution., except:

  • Vice-presidents and above
  • Hiring Managers and the Human Resources consultants supporting them
  • Managers in direct reporting relationships to the position being filled.
  • Contract labour resources
  • Summer student hires, Co-op hires
  • Temporary agency employees

A Bell Canada employee may refer:

  • An external candidate who has never worked for Bell Canada
  • Any former Bell Canada employee (except those who left Bell with a separation package)

How to make a referral

Employees make referrals by submitting a resume on behalf of the candidate to the job descriptions posted here on the Quest for the Best job site. Employees will be notified only if the referred candidate has been hired. Note: Employees without Internet access may forward the candidate's resume to the hiring manager specified in the job position via fax or internal mail.

Referral payouts

There are three possible levels of payout which are indicated in the job description:

  • Regular bonus: $1500
  • Scarce skills bonus: $2500
  • Volume hiring bonus : $250

All bonuses are taxable and are issued 90 days after the start date of the referred employee. Bonuses will be issued respecting pay schedules providing that both the new employee and referring employee are still employed by Bell Canada. Note: The hiring business unit assumes the cost of the payout.
